Tales from Arabia....

August 31st 2008

The best part of three months had passed since I last went to school, and before I knew it, it was happening all over again

I guessed it was not going to be that bad after all, with new tales to narrate, new lame jokes to share( Not the sardar type...or should I say, swami-type) new ways to fight boredom in chemistry hour....In fact, in the last hours of the previous day, I was actually looking forward to school.

As usual, I was up late for the bus. The bus journey is one of the main reasons why I have the blues about going to school. As I had expected, the ultra-irritating secondary school students were up to it again... Trump cards, pokemon and what not! No way was I as irritating as they are, when I was of their age... And that is saying something :D

Apart from that, the first day of school was quite fun... Vikas as hyper-active as ever, Swami as ultra-lame as ever, Viggy tall as ever and Ashitosh...well, is Ashitosh.  Anvit was clean shaven and so was Karthik... Fijo still thinks I am Shahrukh Khan and Tarek.... When the hell will you remove your braces? It has been around forever....

Business as usual then.... God knows what is in store for me this term....

September 4th, 2008

As Anvit rightly put it, the class scores in PCMC resembled a batsman's average... and I mean less of Sachin Tendulkar, and more of Harbhajan Singh.... I did well though...quite happy with my scores

The teacher's day came as a happy distraction, amidst the low scores. It was quite nice seeing everyone looking all smart and formal... Swami tried to create a new cult among teachers, but for all his efforts, failed miserably, and surely, Deepak must have thought Teacher's Day was a night club (sorry guys..:D...I'm just kidding...both of you looked dashing) ....   As for your comments Anvit, in no way were you the best dressed (your tie sucked :P...)... Ok, the tie was quite good, but your colour combination was nowhere as good as mine, or even Vikas's for that matter.
The quote of the day came from Kunal though. " I like the shirt, but not the man inside..." he said, seeing Anvit's shirt :D

I came to know what it is like to bunk a class at last... Guess what I did during the time?  I REPAIRED THE FREAKIN' SCHOOL'S PRINTER... Not as non-productive as it seems then... And of all the periods, you had to choose Ajoy's period, eh Anvit?

All in all, a good day.... The kids and the teacher loved mine and Vignesh's humour and presentation... And just for the record, taking care of 35 12 yr olds is not as easy as it seems....

Cheers
